Day one of the Key West King Mackerel tournament did not turn out very good for us. Ruff seas and not being able to pre-fish made it hard for us to find quality fish. Our first day fish was just over 17 pounds, which is a small king anywhere. We had a hard time the first part of the week locating bait fish, but loaded up on Thursday and Friday. Saturday, we got off to a slow start, but have a good idea of where to fish on Sunday. We all had a blast catching bait with a total of over 400 various fish caught and only 150 bait fish kept. All others were released, except for a few that we had for dinner.
